About Wofford College

Founded in 1854, Wofford College is a private liberal arts college located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, US.

It offers many academic programmes and major fields of study including computer science, international affairs, philosophy, anthropology, and Spanish among others. The College also provides pre-professional programmes in education, engineering, dentistry, law, medicine, pharmacy and veterinary science.

Wofford has an 11 to one student to faculty ratio. About 92 per cent of the faculty holds a doctorate or equivalent degree.

In terms of athletics, students can participate in NCAA Division I championships in football, baseball, basketball, soccer, cross country, golf, riflery, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field and volleyball.

The student body represents 34 countries, 25 faiths and religions and 37 US states.

Spartanburg is home, not only to Wofford College’s campus, but also to seven other colleges including Virginia College and Converse College.
