The Université Mohamed El Bachir El Ibrahimi de Bordj Bou Arréridj was founded in 2000 as a non-profit public higher education institute. It's located in the small city of Bordj Bou Arréridj, the capital city of Bordj Bou Arréridj Province, Algeria.
The university is officially recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Algeria. Each year some 10,000 students enrol to study at the university.
There are seven faculties at which students can study at, including the faculty of science and technology, natural and life sciences and Earth and universe sciences, mathematics and computer science, letters and languages, social sciences and humanities, law and political science and economics, commerce and management sciences.
There are a range of facilities on site including a library as well as administrative services.
