About Campbellsville University
Campbellsville University (CU), is based in Kentucky, and was initially founded as a Baptist institution named Russell Creek Academy.
The 80-acre main campus is based in the centre of Kentucky, while Clay Hill Memorial Forest – a 135-acre educational and research woodland developed by the Division of Natural Science – is seven miles away. Moreover, since 2007, CU has operated an off-site centre in Jeffersontown.
There are a variety of courses on offer, which include: accounting, mathematics, music, nursing, psychology and many more.
CU also offers online-degrees for students, which include: Associate of Science in Business Administration, Associate of Science in Christian Studies, Associate of Science in Criminal Justice, and Associate of Science in General Studies.
Athletics teams at CU are nicknamed as the Tigers and are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Mid-South Conference.
Men's sports include baseball, basketball, bowling, football, cheerleading, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, track & field and wrestling; while women's sports include basketball, bowling, cheerleading, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field and volleyball.
Notable alumni include Phil Cunningham, head basketball coach at Troy University, Wallace Wilkinson, former Governor of Kentucky, and Rick Stansbury, former men's head basketball coach at Mississippi State University.
