About Zarqa University
Founded in 1994, Zarqa University is located in Jordan and was the first private university in Zarqa Governorate. When it opened only 150 students were enrolled, but today the university is home to over 6,000 students studying across 13 faculties.
There are 37 undergraduate majors offered across the universities its many faculties, which include: arts; economics; educational science; law; arts, design and media; allied medical sciences; nursing and pharmacy; science; information technology and engineering technology.
There are also 11 postgraduate programmes in areas such as English language and literature, accountancy, computer science, intellectual property, Islamic banking and pharmaceutical sciences.
There are several centres on campus aimed at helping students and the local community. The E-Learning Centre was founded in 2010, aiming to meet the technological needs of different faculties and to advance learning through technology. There is also a Centre of Community Service and Continuous Learning to help members of the wider community advance their skills.
