William Paterson University of New Jersey is a public university founded in 1855 in New Jersey, US.
The courses are structured across five colleges: arts and communication, Cotsakos College of Business, education, humanities and social sciences and science and health. In addition, the pre-professional programs include engineering, law, medicine (dentistry, optometry, podiatry, and veterinary science), pharmacy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology.
Beyond academics, there are 13 varsity sports, and club sports such as dance, equestrian sports, track, ice hockey, bowling and rugby.
Students can experience jazz concerts, theatre productions, comedy improvisation and sketch shows, the ballet and other music performances. In addition, the 370-acre wooded campus in Wayne, New Jersey, is only 20 miles away from New York City. For an excursion into nature, the Great Falls are only three miles away from the campus.
