About Visayas State University
Visayas State University was established in 1924 as the Baybay Agricultural School and after a series of transformations gained its current name in 2007.
It is located in the Visayas in Philippines’ Baybay City.
The university has eight faculties offering a range of undergraduate and graduate courses: agriculture, arts and sciences, education, engineering, forestry and environmental sciences, management and economics, nursing, and veterinary medicine.
There are four satellite campuses: Alangalang Campus which hosts the college of environmental and agricultural technology, Isabel Campus which hosts the college of industrial technology and engineering, Tolosa Campus with the college of fisheries, and Villaba Campus where the college of education and agricultural technology is located. All other colleges are located in the main campus.
Students can get involved in a range of activities, organisations and clubs during their time studying at Visayas State University, including the Supreme Student Council and Student Media Organisation. Students can join the sports teams such as basketball or volleyball.
Visayas State University attracts many international students from Europe, the United States and Southeast Asia. Domestic students can also choose to study abroad through the university’s student exchange programme or internship scheme.
