About University of Zawia
The University of Zawia was established in 1988 by the former General People’s Committee. It is a member of several organisations including the Association of Arba Universities, Association of African Universities, and the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World.
As its name suggests, the university is located in the city of Zawia in northwestern Libya.
There are various academic programmes including economics, law, veterinary medicine, engineering, and information technology.
Through various outreach programmes and initiatives aimed at promoting social responsibility and sustainable development, the university aims to serve the local community and contribute to the socioeconomic development of the country as a whole.
