Among the university’s more off-beat traditions are the annual mud-volleyball tournament; the Bed Races, where students add wheels to beds and race; and the Maverick Stamped – two weeks of activities hosted in the build-up to a new academic year.
Each year UT Arlington also hosts an Annual Celebration of Excellence by Students (ACES), which celebrates undergraduate and graduate students work with faculty mentors.
