About University of Swat
The University of Swat was established in 2010 with seven departments and has since expanded to include 22 departments across three campuses across Pakistan’s Swat Valley.
The university was created to provide higher education to residents of the Swat Valley.
The three campuses include the main campus, Shangla Campus located in Charbagh and the Women’s Campus. The main campus is located 20km from the main city of Mingora in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, an area recognised as a hub of culture, heritage and nature and known for its hospitable locals. Mingora City is often referred to as Mingora Bazaar due to its large business presence.
The university offers 35 degree programmes across six faculties: language and literature, physical and numerical sciences, management and social sciences, religious and legal studies, chemical sciences and life sciences.
