About Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent
Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent was officially established in 2009 as the result of an agreement between three institutions: Uzavtosanoat SC, General Motors and the Turin Polytechnic University.
The university is located in Tashkent in Uzbekistan.
The university offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees in five different areas: natural-mathematical sciences; humanitarian-economical sciences; control and computer engineering; civil engineering and architecture and mechanical and aerospace engineering.
Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent has academic partnerships with more than 40 universities across 19 countries. Several joint ventures, industry-level operations, faculty and student exchanges are organised every year to facilitate the global exposure and academic growth of its students. Some of its partners include Seoul National University (South Korea), Toyo University (Japan), Bauman STU (Russian Federation), KTH (Sweden), Pittsburgh State University (USA).
In line with the university’s vision of turning into “a main hub for human resources”, the university has established a number of techno-parks, academies, scientific development projects and a centre for advanced studies and retraining inside the university campus to further its academic expertise and research endeavours.
The university has a large campus and provides students with a number of amenities including career centres, well-equipped libraries and cafeterias. It aims to become the leading centre for generating qualified engineering manpower in the region and in recent years, has been persuing closer partnerships with different academic institutions across the globe.
The university also has collaborates with leading industry experts and corporations.
