About Tecmilenio University
Tecmilenio University was founded in 2002 in response to the changing demands of the global work market.
The university utilises a "learning-by-doing" approach as a basic component of every course, allowing students a practical learning experience.
The university has 29 campuses across 18 different states of Mexico, as well as Tecmilenio Online, offering education through remote online resources.
The university offers high-school programmes, professional courses and preparation for executive careers, as well as seven different master’s degree courses.
Courses at the university are taken in both Spanish and English allowing for the development of bilingual communication skills.
The university focuses on promoting a high standard of well-being through "Positive Psychology", as they argue that students work best when their well-being is looked after. Through their Positive Psychology methodology, the university declares themselves as the ‘1st Positive University of the World’.
The university offers a range of courses, with faculties including; health sciences, humanities and social science, engineering, business, and information technology. One of the most prominent features of studying at Tecmilenio University is the requirement to do at least one semester in business, which helps to prepare students for the world of work.
The university’s main campus is in Monterrey, Mexico. Monterrey lies at the foot of the Sierra Madre Oriental mountains, and therefore offers students a wealth of outdoor pursuits, from hiking to camping to star gazing. For art and science lovers, Monterrey also has a Museum of Contemporary Art and the Planetarium Alfa, a science and technology museum.
