About Northeastern State University
Northeastern State University (NSU) is a public university located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The university was founded in 1909 as the Northeastern State Normal School, with a mission to prepare teachers for the rural schools of northeastern Oklahoma. Over the years, NSU has evolved into a comprehensive university, offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate programmes.
NSU is one of the largest universities in Oklahoma, with a student population of over 8,000. The university has three campuses: the main campus in Tahlequah, and satellite campuses in Muskogee and Broken Arrow.
The university has a wide range of academic programmes, with over 50 undergraduate degrees, 20 graduate degrees, and a variety of certificate programmes. Students can take courses in a range of disciplines including education, business and health sciences.
Northeastern State University has a variety of facilities including a fitness centre and several libraries.
