About National Economics University

National Economics University was founded in 1956 as the College of Finance and Economics. In 1965 it was granted university status and became the University of Finance and Economics. It was renamed the National Economics University in 1985.

The university is located in Hanoi, the capital and second largest city of Vietnam.

There are 16 academic faculties at the university: real estate and resources economics, insurance, investment, tourism and hospitality, planning and development, economics, human resource management, management science, law, political studies, marketing, environment, climate change and urban studies, foreign languages for economics, business management, statistics, and economical mathematics. Each faculty is organised into different departments, which offer a variety of undergraduate degree programmes.

There are also eight schools within the university: NEU Business School, NEU Graduate School, school of accounting and auditing, school of banking and finance, school of trade and international economics, international school of management and economics, school of information technology and digital economics, and the school of advanced education programme.

Throughout the year, the university carries out research at its numerous centres and institutes. These include the Centre for Research Consultancy in Economics and Business, the NEU Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Institute of Sustainable Development.
