Harding University

Harding University is a four-year, private, residential, coeducational liberal arts university established in 1924. The main campus is in the town of Searcy, Arkansas, USA but the university has campuses across the world. Harding was created when two smaller colleges merged and university status was finally given by the board of trustees in 1979. The university is associated with the Churches of Christ and the Christian faith is at the centre of the university’s identity although the university is open to students of all faiths. Harding expects its students to adhere to a Christian code of behaviour throughout their time at the university.

As well as the main campus in Arkansas Harding has three remote campuses in the state and one in Tennessee as well as campuses spread across the world in Australia, England, Italy, Paris, Greece, Chile, and Zambia

Today Harding is home to students from throughout the United States, as well as around 40 different countries. The university offers its students the choice of 10 undergraduate degrees in over 100 academic majors as well as 15 graduate and professional degrees taught by the colleges of Allied Health, Arts and Humanities, Bible and Ministry, Business Administration, Education, Nursing, Pharmacy and Sciences.

The main campus covers 250 acres and is home to almost 50 buildings. These house the academic, administrative and residential centres as well as the college chapel where daily devotional sessions are held, as well as the Brackett library and a wide range of sports and leisure facilities.
