Geneva College

Based in Pennsylvania, Geneva College is a Christian arts college with roots dating back to 1848 in Ohio. The college, however, moved to its current location in 1880. It is the only undergraduate university affiliated with the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA).

Geneva College primarily caters for undergraduates, however there are a handful of master's programmes on offer. Subjects offered include the arts and sciences, such as: elementary education, business, engineering, student ministry, biology, and psychology.

Moreover, Geneva offers a Degree Completion Program (DCP) for degrees in human resource management, community ministry or organisational development for adult students at off-campus locations.

Geneva College is a member institution of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, Council of Independent Colleges, and National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.

Interestingly, Geneva was founded by Scottish and Scots-Irish immigrants, and so many names of campus buildings and areas bear Scottish names. The main meeting area of the Student Centre is called Skye Lounge after the Isle of Skye, while the campus eating area is called The Brig, which is short for Brigadoon, a mythical Highland village.

Athletic teams at the university – nicknamed the Golden Tornadoes – are dual members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division I. A range of men's and women's varsity sports are offered, including football, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, track and field, cross country, tennis, and soccer.

Notable alumni include John Steuart Curry, an American painter whose career spanned the years from 1924 until his death, Caleb Stegall, an American attorney and writer residing in Kansas, and William Fitzsimmons, an American singer-songwriter.
