About Dhaka International University
Established in 1995, Dhaka International University is based in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
Students can gain both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees within a wide variety of faculties, including: computer science and engineering, electrical, electronics and telecommunication engineering, civil engineering, business administration, law, pharmacy, English, sociology and economics.
In addition, Dhaka International University has five Institutes, which all have a vocational offering. From education to agricultural training and research, the courses on offer prepare students for the professional world.
On campus, students will find extensive modern laboratories, a library and canteens. There are also nine hostels, split by gender, for students to live on campus.
To help students access the campus, the university provides transport from the city centre back to the campus.
There are a variety of clubs on offer. These include: DIU debating society, DIU cultural club, DIU sports club and DIU volunteer team.
For students interested in sports, there’s tennis courts, a basketball ground, and an indoor games ground suitable for football and cricket.
Dhaka International University also has partnerships with other universities worldwide offering students the chance to spend a year studying abroad. These relations have also paved the way for faculty exchange and advanced research opportunities.
Partnered universities include The National University of Malaysia, Cambridge Institute of Technology (India) and The International School of Management Excellence (Bangalore).
