About CUNY Bernard M. Baruch College

CUNY Bernard M Baruch College is one of the most prestigious colleges in the US. It is one of the ten senior colleges of The City University of New York (CUNY) - the largest urban public higher level institution in the US, famous for its ethnically diverse student body. The university says that its students speak more than 110 languages and have their roots in more than 170 countries.

Baruch College’s academic programmes are divided in four schools: the Zicklin School of Business, the School of Public and International Affairs, the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences and the Division of Continuing and Professional Studies (for certificate and non-degree programmes).

Zicklin School of Business, the largest accredited business school in the US, offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees.  The School of Public and International Affairs’s undergraduate and graduate courses cover public policy and administration and education administration. The Weissman School of Arts and Sciences offers over 40 areas of study within 13 academic departments, such as Black and Latino studies, communication studies, English, fine and performing arts, history, journalism and the writing professions, mathematics, modern languages and comparative literature, natural sciences, philosophy, political science, psychology, sociology and anthropology. The Division of Continuing and Professional Studies teaches applied courses ranging from academic writing, Adobe programmes to import regulations, accounting, digital marketing and managing property.

Baruch College’s campus is based in central New York, which means that its students have access to internships and networking opportunities, and the opportunity to work for the global headquarters of influential companies as well as non-profit and cultural organisations. Student athletics on campus include basketball, softball, football, cross-country, swimming, volleyball and tennis. The College also houses a Performing Arts Center and the Sidney Mishkin Gallery, a small gallery mounting five museum-quality shows per year.
