About Bayburt University
Bayburt University, founded in 2008, is one of the youngest universities in Turkey. Its mission extends beyond preparing students for responsible lives; it seeks to cultivate leaders who generate, share and give knowledge for the betterment of society.
The university is dedicated to advancing the social, cultural and economic wellbeing of the region and the nation, through education, research and service programmes.
The university's faculty consists of 487 academic staff members, including 16 professors, 77 associate professors, 161 doctor lecturers, 155 lecturers and 78 research assistants. This allows Bayburt to offer a wide range of faculties, including humanities, applied sciences, arts and design, economics and administrative sciences, education, engineering, health sciences, sports sciences and theology.
