About University of Montevideo
The University of Montevideo is a private university located in Montevideo, Uruguay. It was founded in 1986 and offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in fields such as law, business, social sciences, architecture and engineering among others.
The university is a Catholic institution and emphasises the importance of service, social justice, and ethical leadership to all its students.
With over 7,000 undergraduate and graduate students, the university is one of the largest universities in the country.
Students have access to several recreational facilities like a sports centre, swimming pool and outdoor sports fields.
The university has around 160 agreements with universities from 45 countries around the world. These include La Trobe University (Australia), University of Western Ontario (Canada), University College Dublin (Ireland), UCL (UK) and Northeastern University (US).
