About University of Baguio
The University was Baguio was founded as Baguio Tech in 1948, around 150 miles from the Filipino capital Manila.
It has developed over the years to offer the first tertiary programmes in 1950. It attained university status with its current name in 1969.
It offers provision across schools of business administration and accounting, criminal justice and public security, dentistry, engineering and architecture, information technology, international hospitality and tourism management, law, natural science, nursing, teacher education and liberal arts.
Community involvement is significant, with a Legal Advice Centre opened by UB’s lawyers in September 2023 and the School of Criminology and Public Security running a literacy outreach programme the following April.
