About UCV

Located in 12 cities around Peru and with 27 professional careers, Universidad César Vallejo (UCV) is the largest university institution in the country. The UCV was founded on November 12, 1991 in the city of Trujillo by a group of outstanding intellectuals determined to build a university that would be accessible to all Peruvians who wanted to get ahead.

At Universidad César Vallejo we are happy because since the creation of the Graduate School we have contributed effectively in meeting the specialization needs of thousands of professionals committed to the changes demanded by our society. Our Graduate School offers appropriate admission processes for each of its educational products: master's and doctoral degrees. In both cases we also offer external transfer as an admission modality.

Our university has more than 20,000 graduate students.

Internationalization

UCV has signed more than 120 international agreements with prestigious universities in Europe, Latin America and other parts of the world. Thanks to these agreements, Vallejanos can carry out student exchanges, mirror classes and academic mobility, in order to obtain a more globalized education and be better prepared professionals to undertake or successfully enter the labor market.

In addition, through the Directorate of International Relations, the UCV seeks to give its students the experience of being part of a student exchange abroad and to obtain a more globalized education in order to be a better prepared professional, either for entrepreneurship or to successfully enter the labor market.

This program began in 2009, and to date more than 20 thousand students have benefited from this program.

Location

UCV has 12 campuses strategically located nationwide that facilitate the access of students and collaborators through easy access roads and wide highways that avoid traffic congestion. These 12 campuses are located in Ate, Callao, Chepén, Chiclayo, Chimbote, Huaraz, Los Olivos, Moyobamba, Piura, Tarapoto, Trujillo and San Juan de Lurigancho.

Infrastructure

The Universidad César Vallejo has 133 computer laboratories and 279 specialty laboratories at its 12 campuses nationwide, which are located in are fully equipped so that students can be able to take advantage of the prepare, train and perform in the work environment. These laboratories are constantly being remodeled in order to provide the best possible educational service to the entire Vallejo community.

Recognized researchers

Universidad César Vallejo currently has 250 registered Renacyt-UCV teachers, for whom the Research Institute has been created and is planned to be replicated on each campus. Renacyt is the National Scientific, Technological and Technological Innovation Registry of natural persons, Peruvian or foreign, who carry out science, technology and innovation activities in Peru. The requirements for its members are of high research and academic rigor.

Technology

Blackboard Catalyst: Universidad César Vallejo is one of six universities in the world that have Latin American universities win the prestigious Catalyst award Awards 2022 for its commitment to the use of technology to improve the learning experience and educational outcomes for all students. In May 2020, Vallejo was the first Peruvian higher education institution to sign an agreement with the aforementioned platform, through the Blackboard Learn SaaS-experiencia Ultra tool.

Job opportunities

The job placement and graduate follow-up office develops a set of actions oriented to the intermediation between the companies that demand human talent, with which a series of inter-institutional agreements have been signed, and our students. Likewise, it attends and supports graduates who show interest in applying to the different calls made by the UCV, and then follows up with the purpose of strengthening their professional development in the labor market.

Social and environmental responsibility

Carbon footprint: UCV is a university committed to the environment. The Ministry of Environment recognizes it as one of the institutions with environmental responsibility for the use of the Carbon Footprint Peru tool that helps reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions.

Top 4 in environmental sustainability: UCV ranks fourth nationally in the ranking of Environmental Sustainability of Peruvian Universities, prepared by the Inter-University Environmental Network. This reaffirms UCV's commitment to care for the environment.
