About Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila
Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila is a state universituy located in the northern Mexican state of Coahuila. The university was established in 1957.
The university has four campuses: Saltillo, Torreón, Campus Norte and Piedras Negras Campus. The university's administrative headquarters are located at the Saltillo campus. The campus in Saltillo comprises 24 schools, the Torreón campus has 17 schools and the Campus Norte in Monclova has 10 schools.
There are a range of undergraduate courses on offer including accounting, chemistry, history, marketing, software and law among many others. There are also a range of graduate programmes including dentistry, electronics, water management, opthalmology and food science and technology among others.
There are many facilities on the university's campuses including computer centres, bookshops, sports facilities and libraries.
Students can join a range of different extracurricular activities while at the univesity including the student newspaper, music groups, dance clubs, student government and the student radio and television clubs.
The Distance Education Office allows students to study courses remotely.
