About Telkom University

Telkom University began in 1990 with the establishment of STT Telkom and MBA Bandung. It became Telkom University in 2013 with the merger of Telkom Institute of Technology, STISI Telkom, Bandung School of Management, and Bandung Telkom Polytechnic. The University is located in Bandung, West Java’s capital, Indonesia.

Telkom University has seven schools: electrical engineering, industrial engineering, computing, economics and business, communication and business, creative industries, and applied sciences. Across these schools, the university has the vision to be a school of international standards, playing an active role in education, research and entrepreneurship.

There are a range of facilities on offer to students to enjoy during their time at Telkom University, such as a discussion room, auditorium, campus transport, natural open spaces, religious facilities and a book store. There are also a range of sporting facilities: swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, fitness centre and others.

In the 18th century, the Dutch began establishing tea plantations in the area, leading to the creation of a municipality to be nicknamed “the Paris of Java”, due to its luxurious hotels, European boutiques and cafés. Bandung is now known for its cultural importance, shown through its floating market, Geological Museum, and the Bosscha Observatory, the oldest observatory in Indonesia.
