About Soonchunhyang University
Described as the school of global education and exchange, Soonchunhyang University has a welcoming ethos that offers education to students from around the world.
The main language of instruction is Korean, however some 30 courses are conducted in English. The core faculties include literature, business, politics, sociology, education and medical science.
The library is open 24 hours and seven days a week during every semester which allows students to access a wide range of information and materials whenever needed.
Aside from strong academic values, Soonchunhyang University has a campus bursting with life. The modern and well-equipped dormitories can house up to six people (of the same gender). The majority of students are able to stay within the dormitories and both Korean and international students are mixed together.
Student life consists of a wide range of clubs, social occasions and sports teams that all students can participate in. With such a diverse mix of students, they aim to enrich the student’s experience beyond the lecture theatres.
Clubs include a range of musical, amateur dramatics and sports clubs. One notable alumni would be Jeon No-min who went on to become a successful actor after performing on stage at Soonchunhyang University. Many of his roles have been within TV, but has also appeared in a handful of films and variety shows.
For international students, living in South Korea there is a readily available transport system, a wide range of shops and the most advanced technology. South Korea also boasts a vast ancient and modern culture.
