About Lorestan University
Lorestan University is among the top universities in Iran renowned for its extensive research especially in the streams of engineering and sciences.
The university is a public university established in 1977. Initially, Lorestan University was founded as a campus of Ahvaz Jundishapur University and was subsequently conferred an independent after the Islamic Revolution.
Currently, the university offers courses in various disciplines ranging from economic and administrative sciences to veterinary medicine among many others. The university offers courses in English and Persian.
Lorestan University regularly publishes research papers, journals and academic books through its publishing arm called the Lorestan University Press.
The campus of Lorestan University is pretty large and consists of a number of libraries, eateries, research institutes as well as some recreation activity centres. There are several student organisations active in the university, but primarily centered on academic matters. Recently, the university has also started encouraging the enrolment of international students and is working to establish more academic partnerships with leading institutions in the region.
The university has forged collaborative relationships with leading industries in Iran in view of supplying competent manpower and furthering research.
