About Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources
Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources is one of Malawi’s public universities, and specialises in agriculture and natural resources education. The main campus is located in the city of Lilongwe, which houses the university’s two colleges: agriculture and natural resources. The university also has centres in Blantyre and Mzuzu.
The university began with the Bunda Campus in 2011, and was formed by the merger of the Bunda College of Agriculture and the Natural Resources College.Its mission is to advance knowledge and produce graduates with entrepreneurial skills for agricultural growth, food security, wealth creation, and sustainable natural resources management.
There are 19 faculties at the university, including agroforestry, fisheries, aquaculture and fisheries, environmental science, and climate change and sustainable development. All courses are taught in English at Lilongwe, and prospective students are expected to be proficient in the language.
From sports to religion, there’s a range of societies, clubs and organisations, which include: forestry club, history makers, crop and soil science club, and more.
