Middle East Technical University (METU), also known as Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi (ODTÜ) in Turkish, is a public technical university situated in Ankara, Turkey.

This institution is dedicated to advancing research and education in engineering and natural sciences. It offers a comprehensive academic portfolio that includes approximately 41 undergraduate programmes across five faculties, as well as 105 master's and 70 doctoral programmes through five graduate schools.

METU's main campus is sprawling, covering 11,100 acres of land, which includes a vast forest area of 7,500 acres and the picturesque Lake Eymir. The university has a substantial global alumni network, with over 120,000 graduates.

The university comprises five faculties, including architecture, arts and sciences, economic and administrative sciences, education, and engineering. Each faculty houses numerous academic departments responsible for undergraduate programmes.

METU's main campus, founded in 1963 in Ankara, features a scenic forested landscape and nearby Lake Eymir for recreational activities. The campus is easily accessible, with a subway station added in 2014.

Additionally, METU has campuses in Northern Cyprus (since 2005) and Erdemli, Mersin Province (since 1975), primarily for marine sciences.
