About The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong
The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong was founded in 2010 as the Hang Seng Management College, and was granted university status in 2018. It specialises in the liberal arts and offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
The Hang Seng campus is located in the Sui Lek Yuen district, surrounded by the Ma On Shan Country Park. It is the only university in this area.
There are five schools and 10 departments, including business, communication, decision sciences, humanities, social sciences, translation and foreign languages. The undergraduate programme has three components: majors, common core, and free electives. Minor studies are introduced to offer students a secondary study area. Students have a wealth of choice at the undergraduate level, with courses including actuarial studies and insurance, Asian studies, human resource management, marketing and many more.
There are six postgraduate master’s programmes at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, including the executive master of science in insurance, three master of arts programmes in strategic communication, business and legal translation, and computer-aided translation. There’s also a master of science in either entrepreneurial management or global supply chain management.
The Student Affairs office arranges extra-curricular programmes and events and students can also choose to study on an exchange programme overseas.
