About Fiji National University
Fiji National University was formally established in 2010 but has its roots with one of the oldest nursing education institutions in the Pacific that was founded in 1893. The school of nursing has now been incorporated into the university's college of medicine, nursing and health sciences.
The administrative centre of the university is located at the Nasinu Campus, whilst the Lautoka Campus houses the school of Education. Other campuses include Derrick, Nadi and Koronivia.
There are seven main colleges and centres at the university including: agriculture, fisheries and forestry; business, hospitality and tourism; engineering, science and technology; humanities and education; medicine, nursing and health sciences; national training and productivity; and the Fiji Maritime Academy.
The Department of Student Services host a range of events and programmes including volunteering and movie nights. There are a range of sporting activities for students to get involved with from rugby to soccer, netball and hockey.
