About Centennial College

Centennial College is a diploma- and degree-granting college located in Toronto, Ontario. It is the oldest publicly funded college in Ontario.

It was established in 1966 and has five campuses and seven satellite locations.

Its five campuses are home to eight schools: the School of Advancement; The Business School School of Communications, Media, Arts and Design; School of Community and Health Studies; School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science; the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts; the School of Transportation and School of Dumisa Mndzebele.

Centennial College is recognised as one of the most culturally diverse post-secondary institutions in Canada. Almost 100 ethno-cultural groups are represented and 80 languages are spoken on campus.

Centennial College operates the country's largest transportation training facility, with more than $30 million worth of aircraft, vehicles and equipment onsite.

The college has taken steps to become a greener institution.In 2011, its LEED Gold-certified Library and Academic Facility at Progress Campus launched, taking a big step towards reducing the college’s carbon footprint. It also contains a four-storey Living Wall biofilter that purifies and humidifies indoor air to create a healthier and more comfortable indoor environment, as well as minimise heating and cooling costs.

Notable alumni include the actor John Candy, television personality Jennifer Valentyne and politician Eleanor Caplan.
