About Baku Engineering University

Established in 2016, Baku Engineering University (BEU) is a young university based in Absheron, away from the bustling city centre of Baku.

BEU is relatively small, teaching around 2,600 students on average each year. There are four separate colleges offering a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in economic and administrative sciences, engineering, education and architecture and construction.

A modern approach to academia, BEU offers both a theoretical and practical approach to subjects. All courses are taught in Azerbaijani, English and Russian.

There’s a department focused solely on career building, which organises career days for its students as well as helping with CV preparation, job searches, and job applications.

On campus, there are dormitories for all students and floors are equipped with a rest zone and study rooms. There’s also fitness halls, catering and household services in the building to ensure students have everything they need.

There’s a modern gym with a table tennis room, as well as basketball, volleyball and artificial turf stadium.

Students at BEU have 49 university clubs to choose from, including chess, books and debate.

BEU provides its students with the opportunity to participate in the international exchange programmes with various universities across Europe. In particular, there is the opportunity to join the dual degree programme between BEU and Inha University of South Korea, for students studying civil engineering, information technology, electrical engineering and electronics engineering.
