About Babol University of Medical Sciences
Babol University of Medical Sciences is located in Babol, in the north of Iran sandwiched between the slopes of the Alborz Mountains and southern coast of the Caspian Sea.
The university was established in 1983, with the first group of students commencing their studies in 1986.
Today there are seven schools and seven educational therapeutic centres including the schools of medicine, dentistry, paramedicine, nursing and midwifery, nursing, traditional medicine and the international unit.
The centres include the Ayatollah Rouhani Hospital, Shahid Beheshti Hospital, Shahid Yahya Nezhad Hospital, Amirkola Children’s Hospital, Fatima Al-zahra centre for fertility and infertility, Shahid Rajayee Hospital and 17 Shahrivar Hospital.
Outside of study students can enjoy a wide array of facilities including a tennis court, chess hall, pool and fitness centre. There are also eight accommodation blocks with capacity for up to 660 students, along with university transport and a cafeteria offering subsidised meals.
