About American University of Madaba
The American University of Madaba opened for students in 2011.
Bachelor’s degrees are offered across 18 majors in seven faculties: engineering, science, health sciences, information technology, art and design, business and finance, languages and communication. With a faculty from across the Middle East, Europe and North America, classes are taught exclusively in English.
As its name suggests, the American University of Madaba follows a traditional American-style four-year university structure, located on a single campus. The campus spans over 100 acres and lies five miles from the city of Madaba, one of Jordan’s historic regions. An environmentally friendly campus, AUM uses renewable energy sources that include the largest geothermal heating and cooling system in the Middle East.
AUM has small personalised classes with the opportunities offered at large universities. This includes a wide range of activities both within and outside the curriculum. All students are required to choose beginner or intermediate level physical fitness courses, and a cultural or social development activity.
With a fully-equipped sports complex fit with an indoor swimming pool and indoor court, the campus offers students an abundance of sporting opportunities to enjoy. For those who enjoy the arts, the Student Union has halls for artwork, painting, music, students clubs and associations and can be used by all students at AUM.
