About Antonio Nariño University
The main goal behind Antonio Nariño University was to provide opportunities to motivated individuals who had no access to higher education. With this in mind, in 1976 the university opened its first campus in the south of Bogota, providing access to millions of people who had limited academic offers. It has since opened campuses in 29 cities around Colombia and offers a broad range of on-campus, web-based and off-campus academic programmes. During the past few decades, the university has sought to become a leading research institute in Colombia and currently has strong research groups in the physical sciences, math education, engineering and health sciences.
