University of Reading leads archaeology unit of assessment table based on GPA

The archaeology unit of assessment table is led by the University of Reading, which is not a member of the Russell Group, with a GPA of 3.66.

It is trailed by Durham University in second place with a GPA of 3.59.

The University of Southampton (3.57), the University of Cambridge (3.56) and the University of Leicester (3.54) make up the rest of the top five.

At a national level the Archaeology UoA has a GPA of 3.32, with 46 per cent of its submission rated 4*. 496.84 FTE staff were submitted to this UoA.
