I read with interest your league table of vice chancellors salaries but was rather puzzled as to why you did not publish the precise information for Oxford Brookes vice chancellor, Clive Booth. For some reason you have chosen to print the salary range, whereas if you had turned over to the next page of the annual accounts you would have seen Dr Booth's salary, performance related pay and employer's pension contribution.

Dr Booth's salary in 1993/94 was Pounds 76,000, performance-related pay Pounds 9,000 and pension contribution Pounds 7,000.
