Count me out

You listed me as a candidate for the post of chief executive of the Higher Education Funding Coouncil for England (THES, October 21). I clearly told the headhunter who appproached me that I did not wish to be considered for the job. It is flattering to be sounded out about a position which is so crucial to the development of higher education but leading an international centre of excellence in management education has its own challenges and satisfactions which I continue to enjoy.
