So The THES is up to its old tricks again. An imposing sidebar "Digital research in the arts" (THES, June 23) leads to four pages announcing predictable digitisation of humanities' texts without so much as a word about the plethora of initiatives and inventiveness in the visual and performing arts. One glance at http://art.ntu.ac. uk/dpa should convince anyone that digital work in the performance arts has already surpassed mere paper replication.
