Karen Sibley is vice-president for strategic initiatives and dean of the School of Professional Studies at Brown University, Rhode Island.
In this short interview podcast, she talks to digital and communities editor Chris Parr about gender diversity in university management. Five out of eight Ivy League colleges now have female presidents, but does this mask a more concerning picture elsewhere in US higher education?
Sibley also gives her view on whether quotas should be introduced to tackle gender imbalances. The interview was conducted on 20 October 2015 at the Reinventing Higher Education conference held at IE University in Madrid.
