Ben Brabon, academic courses manager for the School of Arts and Humanities at Nottingham Trent University, was responsible for the first for-credit massive open online course in the UK.
While at Edge Hill University, his Vampire Fictions course attracted around 1,000 students, although none opted to pay the £200 fee to receive the credit on offer. In this podcast, Dr Brabon discusses what he learned from that experience, and also his new role on the Higher Education Funding Council for England’s Teaching, Learning and the Student Experience Strategic Advisory Committee.
The interview is conducted by Times Higher Education reporter, Chris Parr, and took place in London on 25 September 2014.
