Originally the School of Commerce and Industry, the college was established in 1913. It then became the Shool of Public and Private Business in 1917, before taking its current name as the Michael F Price College of Business, after investor Michael F Price donated $18 million to the school in 1997 as well as an additional donation for the college to extend its premises. It is part of the University of Oklahoma (OU) in Norman, Oklahoma in the US.

Price currently has over 3,200 students. It’s departments – or divisions – are: accounting; entrepreneurship and economic development; finance; management and international business; management information systems and marketing and supply chain management.

It offers undergraduate degree programmes in: accounting; economics; energy management; entrepreneurship; finance; general management; international business; management information systems; marketing; risk management; sports management and supply chain management.

Graduate degree programmes include: Full-time MBA; Professional OKC MBA; Executive MBA in Energy; Online Master in Accountancy; Accelerated BBA/Master in Accountancy; Master in Accountancy; Accelerated BBA/Master of Science in Management of Information Technology and Master of Science in Management of Information Technology. There a number of Dual Degree courses on offer too.

PhD Specialisations include: accounting; entrepreneurship and economic development; finance; management and international business; marketing; management information systems and supply chain management.

Among the graduate certificates for non-business majors are business entrepreneurship, digital technologies and foundations of business.

Research Centres at Price range over healthcare (Center for the Business of Healthcare) applied economics (Center for Economic & Management Research) global entrepreneurship (Center for Entrepreneurship) finance (Center for Financial Studies) information sharing on management information systems (Center for Management Information Systems Studies) and the search for innovative and sustainable energy solutions (Energy Institute). Finally, there is a Graduate Student Support Center offering various services including: career counseling; soft skills training; employer relations and unique internships.

As well as the Graduate Support Center, there are a number of other facilities serving Price students. The Academic Advising Services helps students by helping them navigate through university requirements and college policies/procedures. The Center for Student Success offers curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular opportunities aimed at helping students succeed in a diverse global business environment.

First Fidelity Bank Integrated Business Core offers students real-world training and the skills to launch a successful business. The JCPenney Leadership Center provides high performing undergraduate business students with opportunities to develop their leadership potential through a variety of learning experiences and interactions. The Multicultural Business Programme (MBP) provides a network of services to help selected students progress towards graduation while the The Office of Diversity and Inclusion promotes an inclusive learning community.

There are also a number of student organisations that provide opportunities to network and exchange ideas. They include: the American Marketing Association, the CEO - Collegiate Entrepreneur Organisation, Economics Club, International Business Association Society of Human Resources Management, the MIS Student Association and the Women in Business Association.
