关于 Endicott College
Endicott Junior College was founded in 1939 by a duo of doctors: Dr Eleanor Tupper and her husband, Dr George Bierkoe. The pair wanted to establish a progressive college that would educate and liberate women – a revolutionary idea in a country still struggling to overcome the effects of the Great Depression.
The college worked on a pioneering model in which every programme of study involved an internship. This was intended to fully prepare its female students for life in the workplace. This philosophy continues to this day, with work experience a priority.
In 1975 the college was renamed Endicott College and in 1994 it began accepting male students.
The main Endicott College campus is located in Beverly, Massachusetts, with other branch sites in Gloucester and Boston. Massachusetts’ Gold Coast is the setting for the main campus, with two beaches within easy reach. The campus features a centre for the performing arts, an ice hockey rink and several historic halls of residence, some of which are rumoured to be haunted.
International study options can be taken at the college’s overseas sites on three different continents. The college has locations in Bermuda, the Czech Republic, Spain, Switzerland, and Thailand. International students from around thirty different countries come to study at Endicott.
Endicott College offers undergraduate programmes in the fields of arts and sciences, business, communication, hospitality management, sport science and fitness, nursing, and visual and performing arts. It also provides master’s and doctoral-level teaching in subjects ranging from information technology to homeland security studies.
