Aberystwyth University is creating a £20 million research institute to tackle major environmental problems. The Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences will bring together the Institute of Biological Sciences, the Institute of Rural Sciences and the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research. Staff will look at sustainable land use, climate change and food and water security.
