About Srinakharinwirot University
Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) was developed from two institutions: the Advanced Teacher Training School, founded in 1949, and the College of Education, founded in 1953. We became a comprehensive university and was named Srinakharinwirot University in 1974. Currently, the university is an autonomous institute under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. SWU has two main campuses: Prasarnmit campus (Central Bangkok) and Ongkharak campus (Nakhon Nayok province).
Srinakharinwirot University, one of the leading autonomous universities in Thaialnd. Our vision is to be “Learning University for Society”. SWU is committed to academic excellence based on four guiding principles: the management of knowledge and learning, research, and innovation to expand the frontiers of knowledge, the transmission of this body of knowledge to the local community and greater society, and the conservation development of arts and culture. The body of knowledge and academic strength are endlessly transmitted from being an advanced teacher’s college to a comprehensive university.
Now, SWU has 29,000 students and academic staff of 1,900 members. SWU currently offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral more than 190 programs in 17 faculties, 4 colleges and 1 institute.

SWU actively maintains and promotes international programs through academic exchanges and cooperation agreements with foreign universities and institutions.
Today, SWU is a modern institution producing graduates with a vast range of skills to meet the demands of the fast-moving society. Throughout its history of rapid growth and technological development, SWU has remained faithful to its founding principles.
