Thank-you for publishing our letter on the summer schools initiative (Letters, THES, September 29). For the record, the (recently established) Institute for Policy Studies in Education is not autonomous but comes under the auspices of the University of North London.

Moreover, in case of possible misinterpretation, we would like to make clear that the headline, "Partners wanted", refers entirely to links between schools, colleges and universities, and certainly not to the personal wishes of the authors themselves.
