The leaflet "How to go out in Liverpool without getting the tripe beaten out of you" ("Rewrite demanded for Viz-style guide to survival", THES, August 11) was not published by the University of Liverpool Guild of Students alone, but by a partnership between the City Council, Merseyside Police, the university and students.
It is not in any way the sole responsibility of the Guild of Students nor any other group or individual within Liverpool Student Safe to amend this leaflet without the fullest consultation with all concerned.
