According to Whistleblowers (THES, March 10), a document written by two managers of the University of Derby's Business School "expressed concern" that a cohort of students had been enrolled in June 1997 on a three-year degree that had not been approved by the Israeli Council for Higher Education. I hold no brief for Derby, but I must point out that in June 1997 no off-shore degree programme delivered in Israel needed CHE approval.
