The David Cronenberg interview referred to in "UK lags behind in DV revolution" (THES, Enterprise page, January 14) was, in fact, a collaborative venture with Xavier Mendik, a lecturer in popular culture at University College Northampton and the University of Bangor, plus associates.
The interview with the Canadian film director was initiated and conducted by Mendik, not the University of Bangor's Graeme Harper.
This followed a recent and extensive interview between Mendik and Cronenberg for a forthcoming publication on the director's work.
Harper did not therefore have to persuade Mr Cronenberg to take part in the series via a video/audio link.
The quotation from Cronenberg was taken verbatim from the interview and therefore should have been credited as such.
