The article "A double first for brains and brawn" (THES, October 22) referred to Crewe & Alsager offering sport science degrees to professional footballers.
This technically is incorrect. The two very successful degrees (full-time and part-time) are part of the academic portfolio of Manchester Metropolitan University. Crewe & Alsager is a faculty within the university.
The part-time course is offered to professional footballers and other sports people who want to pursue a degree while remaining in full-time training and competition.
