About Buckinghamshire New University

Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) has a history that dates as far back as 1891. Originally established as a School of Science and Art, the school expanded and became the High Wycombe College of Art and Technology in 1963. Then in 1999 it was granted University College status and was renamed the Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College. In 2007 its name changed to what it is known as today, Buckinghamshire New University.

Their campuses are based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire; Uxbridge, West London; Aylesbury Vale. BNU also run courses at Missenden Abbey, Great Missenden and has a base at Pinewood Studios. With an investment of £19 million being made in their campuses, facilities and technologies in 2023, students can look forward to discovering a well-equipped place to study and develop their potential.

The University offers high quality and professionally driven undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a range of fields, from Nursing and Psychology, to Aviation, Art & Design, Business and Creative Media. Students are able to access the University’s industry connections to gain real-world experience and grow their knowledge and skills to be job-ready once they graduate, as well as benefit from a range of bespoke facilities for different subject areas.

The University has created The Big Deal to enrich student life. The Big Deal encourages students to dive into new experiences and explore new passions to help with personal growth. There are various free clubs, societies and sports teams to join such as aviation, musical theatre and rugby, all completely free.
